Quartz

Quartz is an abundant natural silicate mineral. In building and design, it refers to engineered quartz—a manufactured material made from about 90% crushed natural quartz combined with polymer resins and pigments. It is prized for countertops, vanities, and wall cladding.

Key Pros:

Zero Sealing Required:

Unlike natural stones (like granite or marble), engineered quartz is non-porous. It never needs sealing to maintain its finish.

Stain Resistance:

Because it doesn't absorb liquids, it highly resists common household stains from wine, coffee, and oils.

Exceptional Durability:

The resin binder makes the surface extremely hard and resistant to cracks, chips, and scratches in high-traffic areas.

Hygenic:

The non-porous nature prevents the harboring of bacteria, mold, and mildew, promoting a sanitary environment for food prep.

Consistent Aesthetics:

Unlike natural slabs, engineered stone offers predictable patterns and color consistency, making matching and seam layout much easier.
